The purpose of this 20 hour (2.5 days) course is to provide new investigators, first responders, law enforcement officers, wildland firefighters, and fire department company officers a basic understanding of origin and cause determination. It is also a great refresher for the seasoned fire investigator. This course will provide the tools to understand the key roles played in fire scene examination and preserving and protecting the area of origin.
Electricity for the Fire Investigator

This 20 hour (2.5 days) course is designed to enhance the electrical knowledge of both new and experienced fire origin and cause investigators. Before signing up for this course, students should have taken a basic fire investigation class to provide the required backgound in the scientific method, hypothesis development, NFPA 921, and fire dynamics.
